Description:

Maximus 250mg Injection contains Ceftriaxone, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with broad-spectrum bactericidal activity. It is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. Ceftriaxone works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and is widely used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, intra-abdominal infections, septicemia, meningitis, and surgical prophylaxis.

Dosage & Administration:

Precautions:

• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins.

• Use with caution in patients with penicillin allergy due to possible cross-reactivity.

• Monitor for signs of anaphylaxis, especially on first dose.

• Prolonged use may lead to superinfection or Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea.

• Not recommended in neonates with hyperbilirubinemia or concurrent calcium treatment.
